Pitch is a fundamental element in music, referring to how high or low a sound is perceived. It is determined by the frequency of sound waves, measured in Hertz (Hz).

In Western music, pitches are typically named using letter names (A, B, C, etc.) and are organized into scales and octaves.

Characteristics
