Juanjo Mosalini (born 29 April 1972, Buenos Aires) is an internationally acclaimed bandoneonist, composer, and teacher. With a career spanning more than 30 years, he is recognized as a prominent ambassador of the bandoneón, representing Argentine musical tradition on major stages across Europe and beyond.
Early Life and Musical Training
Juanjo Mosalini was born into a musical family in Buenos Aires. He is the son and student of the renowned bandoneonist Juan José Mosalini. After receiving his foundational training from his father, he continued his musical education with the distinguished pianist and composer Gustavo Beytelmann, focusing on piano and harmony. His prodigious talent led to the start of an international career at the age of 18.

Since the founding of the first European bandoneón class, Mosalini has taught at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental (CRD) of Gennevilliers. Since 2016, he leads the tango and bandoneón department at the CRD Edgar Varèse, now recognized as the most important European center for tango and bandoneón studies.
